Kelowna Airport Renovation

Project: Kelowna Airport Renovation
Year Completed: 2014

In 2014, Quantus Electric worked with Maple Reinders on a complete renovation of the Arrivals area washrooms.  This project revealed corroded main electrical components that run under the washroom floors.  Consequently, the main power supply to the airport had to be shut down for a period of time, for the first time since its construction decades ago.  This created a very short window in which our electricians had to repair the damaged components while all runway lights and essential power was down.  Our team worked exceptionally well in this high-pressure, high-stakes situation and restored power in time for the first flights of the day to safely arrive and depart.  This renovation went on to win a SICA award for commercial renovation.
